Happy holidays!

If you need a distraction from annoying in-laws this season, a final dollop of good karma for 2025, or both, I have just the ginger lemon shot for ya:

โ€‹Help me hype up the launch of my first book, Money Proud.โ€‹

First contracted in June of 2024, this book officially goes on sale NEXT TUESDAY, December 30th. Holy shit!

Order on Amazon
Order on Bookshop
Order on Barnes and Noble

I truly believe this book is a fantastic primer on personal finance that has the power to change lives. And it's definitely the queerest personal finance book in market.

We've got poppers. We've got Oregon Trail jokes (elder millennial here). The core framework has gahdamn reveals. And then I cut to an interview snippet I did with one of 25 queer people across North America bearing their ENTIRE HEART AND SOUL for y'all.

Then we cut to a kickass diagram. And then to actionable takeaways, because y'all's time is valuable, so I need to make you laugh, cry, and feel hope about the world again, all before the top of the hour.

It's giving blend, it's giving genre-fluid, it's giving succinct. It's giving inspired eyes and smile lines, which we all know is the sexier visage. It's giving editoriallllll. You are going to love it.

My publisher and support crew have all been incubating for this moment, and now it's time to fly.

I've made a media kit Google doc above with links, photos, and graphics for anyone who wants to help me spread the word. I've also put it below for convenience.

Love y'allโ€”let's get this party started! ๐ŸŽ‰

Yes! This book focuses on plain-English explanations of the basics, delivered in a fun, fruity way. The humor is PG-13, with occasional cursing, but no F-words.

Yes! To share some wisdom one of my first online business mentors shared with me: โ€œSpeak to one audience and let others listen.โ€ This book appeals culturally to the LGBTQ+ reader, but praise is already rolling in that itโ€™s an excellent foundational money book in general.

โ€œA new generation of LGBTQ+ people are living lives that they once thought unimaginable โ€” marriage, children, long lives, and the chance at homeownership. These new possibilities require a guide, which is why Nick Wolny's column in Out is such an integral part of our magazine. Nick is the authority queer consumers need in realizing their dreams and finding their fabulous futures. But we can only fit so many words in a column, which is why Money Proud is much-needed and exciting, a book exploring underexplored terrain.โ€ - Daniel Reynolds, Editor-in-Chief, OUT Magazine

โ€œI am so excited about this book! It is so needed! I have seen firsthand how Nick Wolny communicates as a writer and entrepreneur. His style is succinct, accessible, empowering, and funโ€”the perfect combination for bringing a book like Money Proud to the LGBTQIA2S+ community.โ€ - Rachel Rodgers, bestselling author of We Should All Be Millionaires and CEO of Hello Seven

Nick Wolny is a finance pro whoโ€™s actually fun to be around.โ€ - Adam Auriemma, former Editor-in-Chief of CNET and Money magazine

โ€œIf your sassy gay friend wrote a book about money, this would be it.Money Proud has it all, from heartfelt stories to valuable financial advice, and will keep you laughing out loud along the way.โ€ - Farnoosh Torabi, bestselling finance author and host of So Money

โ€œHis tone is conversational and witty, mixing practical tips like setting aside a savings account for โ€œoccasional opulent shit,โ€ with affirmations that financial independence is both an act of pride and a form of protection in an uncertain political climate. Exhibiting a clear understanding of behavioral finance, Wolny succeeds in making money talk feel inclusive and empowering rather than prescriptive. Readers seeking a fresh, culturally aware guide to financial wellness will find this as entertaining as it is instructive.โ€
